Jammy Breakfast Bars

Ingredients:
1/2 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 cups rolled oats 3/4 cups butter 1 1/2 cups strawberry or apricot jam
Makes approximately 12 bars

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Mix together flour, baking powder, brown sugar and oats in a large bowl.

Press 2/3 of mixture into a greased 13 x 9 baking pan.

Spread the strawberry or apricot jam evenly on top.

Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the jam.

Bake for about 45 minutes, or until brown on top.

Cool before cutting into bars.
