Jammy Breakfast Bars

Ingredients:

1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
3/4 cups butter
1 1/2 cups strawberry or apricot jam

Makes approximately 12 bars

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  • Mix together flour, baking powder, brown sugar and oats in a large bowl.

  • Mix in melted butter.

  • Press 2/3 of mixture into a greased 13 x 9 baking pan.

  • Spread the strawberry or apricot jam evenly on top.

  • Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the jam.

  • Bake for about 45 minutes, or until brown on top.

  • Cool before cutting into bars.
