Honey Crunch Bars

Ingredients:

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup pure honey
1 1/4 cup of muesli or rolled oats
2 tablespoon bran cereal
1/4 cup dried fruit of choice (raisins, apricots, mixed fruit, etc.)

Makes 12 bars

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  • Grease a 9 inch by 13 inch pan, or two 8 inch by 8 inch pans.

  • Put sugar, oil and honey into a large bowl and microwave on medium for 2 minutes.

  • Stir in muesli, bran cereal and fruit.

  • Mixture should be moist enough to form a ball, without extra liquid.

  • Put mixture in prepared pan and spread evenly.

  • Bake for 30 minutes.

  • Remove from oven and cut into bars while still hot.

  • Wait until bars cool before removing from pan.
